Comtat Venaissin is famed for its Jewish, Baroque and medieval ‘cultural and religious heritage’. Take part in our guided tours led by our guide lecturers who are knowledgeable about our heritage, ranked as a ‘Pays d’Art et Histoire’. And if your curiosity leads you to search for other treasures in our little corner of paradise, there are bell towers, windmills, as well as local traditions and celebrations such as the Christmas crib, the lavender road, tasting trips to try products like berlingots sweets and tastings of locally-grown products such as strawberries, figs, cherries, apricots and truffles.

Our vineyards will surely whet your appetite, with Beaumes de Venise, Gigondas and Vacqueyras. These AOP Ventoux wines are not especially well-known but they are delicious. Discover our wine route with us and come and taste the wonderful wines produced by our wine-growers.

Nature-lovers, hikers and cyclists will enjoy the diversity of our countryside and trails, our biodiversity and our plants and rare species. Come and discover the plants and wildlife that are so unique to Mont Ventoux, which is soon to become a Regional Natural Park as well as our exceptional natural sites such as the Dentelles de Montmirail, the Vaucluse Mountains and the Lac du Paty.
