Chapelle St Roch sous la neige
Chapelle St Roch et son écrin de verdure

A semicircular chapel of the 18th century offering a beautiful view to Monieux.

Erected in 1632 after the plague epidemy in thanksgiving to St Roch, it was rebuilt in 1832 according to a circular plan during a cholera epidemy. The exterior architecture has a conical roof covered with round tiles. Inside, the circular plaster cornice is richly decorated with trompe l'oeil: pilasters, faux marble panels and a celestial starry vault under the dome.

From this chapel and its green setting, there is a beautiful view of Monieux.

Open and accessible to visitors all year round.
