Walking trail – ‘’Pérégrine and the Bottom of the Nesque Gorge’’ at Venasque

Start point : Venasque D4 direction Murs.
Circular walk - Length : 3 hours - Distance : 9 km/5,59 miles - Difficulty : Medium - Ascent : 300 m/984 feet

Breathtaking views of the Ventoux, Blauvac and Venasque. There is also a numeric botanical trail , pdf, 1.79moavailable if you have a smartphone.

Walk – ‘’The Capelan Valley ‘’ at Venasque

Start point : D4 direction Murs

A walk through two magnificent valleys, the Rupt valley and the Capelan valley with its panoramic footpath.

Walk – ‘’Ascle and Saint-Siffrein’’ at Venasque

Start/Finish : Venasque 
Circular walk Length : 1 hour 45 mins – Distance : 4,8 km/2,98 miles – Difficulty : Easy – Ascent : 95 m/312 feet.

This path passes below a cliff with a climbing route and then up via the pretty ‘Ascle passage’, a natural staircase in the rocks.

Walk – The Saint-Gens Valley and the Beaucet Spring

Start/Finish : Car park Place du Maquis Jean Robert in Le Beaucet
Circular walkLength : 3 ½ hours - Distance : 10,3 km/6,4 miles – Difficulty : Medium – Ascent : 450 m/1476 feet.

An interesting walk between Le Beaucet, Saint-Gens and La Roque sur Pernes with monoliths, a miraculous spring and some well preserved ‘bories’ (dry stone shelters).

Walk – The Nesque Gorge at Monieux

Start/Finish : at the lake below the village or from the village.
Circular walk Length : 3 ½ hours – Distance : 9,4 km/5,84 miles – Difficulty : Medium – Ascent : 455 m/1493 feet.

This walk will take you to the troglodyte Chapel of Saint Michel de Anesca (of the Nesque) at the bottom of the gorge. Situated in an archeological area dating back to prehistory, the chapel can only be reached by foot.

Walk – The Cherry Valley at Villes sur Auzon

Start/Finish : car park at the village football grounds, tennis courts and skate park in Villes sur Auzon.
Circular walk Length : 3 hours – Distance : 8,5 km/5,28 miles – Difficulty : Medium – Ascent : 280 m/919 feet.

A very pretty and easy walk around the Grand Défends woods overlooking the village of Villes sur Auzon.

Walk – The Charcoal Kilns at Villes sur Auzon

Start/Finish : 4 km/2,48 miles from the village heading towards Sault on the RD1 – Circular walkDifficulty : Medium – Distance : 9,5 km/5,9 miles - Length : 3 ½ hours – Ascent : 350 m/1148 feet.

On this route, created by a local association, you will discover many of the old kilns that were used by the charcoal producers. Fantastic views over the Nesque Gorge.

Walk – The Nesque and the Aubagnes at Méthamis

Start/Finish : the primary school car park at Méthamis
Circular walkLength : 2 ½ hours – Distance : 10 km/6,21 miles – Difficulty : Medium – Ascent : 370 m/1214 feet.

A fairly tough walk from Méthamis that follows the bed of the river Nesque at the bottom of the gorge. The Nesque river that is fed by water coming down from the Albion plateau to then cross the Monts de Vaucluse forming a mostly dry gorge.
